Mit leerem Beutel große Sprünge machen, dies kommt bei geschlechtsreifen Känguruweibchen eher selten vor. Können doch die Muttertiere zur gleichen Zeit drei Jungtiere betreuen. Das älteste Geschwisterkind, welches zwar schon ausgezogen ist aber immer gerne nochmal in den Beutel schaut ob denn eine Zitze zum Nuckeln gerade frei ist. Dann ein Jungtier, welches sich gerade ständig im Beutel aufhält, weil seine Entwicklung noch nicht abgeschlossen ist, und ein drittes, mit dem die Mutter auf Vorrat schon wieder schwanger ist, sich aber in Keimlingsruhe befindet, und erst weiter entwickelt wenn im Beutel wieder Platz geworden ist. So hat das Weibchen auch alle Hände voll zu tun um den Beutel sauber zu halten. Übrigens ist das Hüpfen der Kängurus eine äußerst effiziente Fortbewegungsart. Wie bei einer Sprungfeder wird aus den Sehnen die beim landen gespeicherte Energie wieder frei. Es muss für den Sprung nur sehr wenig zusätzliche Energie aufgewendet werden.

Dělat velké skoky s prázdným vakem je u pohlavně dospělých samic klokanů poměrně vzácné. Matka se může starat až o tři mláďata najednou. Nejstarší sourozenec, který se již odstěhoval, ale vždy se do vaku rád podívá, zda tam není k dispozici struk na sání. Pak je tu mládě, které je ještě neustále ve vaku, protože jeho vývoj ještě není dokončen, a třetí, s nímž je matka již opět březí, ale je v klidovém stavu a bude se dále vyvíjet, až když bude ve vaku opět místo. Samice má tedy plné ruce práce s udržováním čistoty vaku. Mimochodem, klokaní skákání je mimořádně efektivní způsob pohybu. Energie potřebná ke skoku se uvolňuje ze šlach, kam se předtím uložila při doskoku, a funguje to podobně jako u pružiny. Na skok je tak třeba vynaložit jen velmi málo energie navíc.
